The final concert of the Amsterdam Marimba Weekend is dedicated to special instrumental combinations.

The winner of the AMW Composition Award will be announced during this concert. The prize for the winner is an assignment to write a new work for the following AMW Edition in 2026. The best compositions chosen by the jury are performed by three duos of young professionals, formed specially for the occasion. The audience can choose their own favorite from the three compositions.

The three unique duo pieces for marimba or vibraphone with organ explore the boundaries of this special combination of instruments.

Ivan Vukosavljevic, the winner of the AMW Composition Award 2022, will have the world premiere of his new work for two marimbas and organ.

And finally, as closing act of the festival, The Grand Gala will take place, a large ensemble piece written especially for the occasion for traditional, self-built and new percussion instruments in combination with the organs of the Orgelpark.
