This year’s annual Composers’ Festival, in collaboration with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, consists of two concerts. In the morning, a Yoga-organ session will take place in the Orgelpark. Bring your yoga mat and enjoy a new composition by Tymon Zgorzelski, who will lead this session. During the evening concert, two students, Þórður Hallgrímsson and Jasmine Karimova, will present a new work.

Human Organ is a piece that explores the art of notation and scoring along with instrument building. Can an instrument also be a score and can a score be an instrument. In the piece, Þórður Hallgrímsson turns himself along with other performers into an organ. A living breathing instrument.
Step right in! Have you ever tried your best and still looked like an idiot? Suites For A Clown unfolds in six chapters. Each one sets up its own rules, only to bend or lose them along the way. With organs, trombones, strings, singers, bassoon and oboe, things begin, slip, repeat, and drift. Nothing is fully fixed. Things almost work - and then don’t. And yet! On we go!
