Amsterdam Marimba Weekend

One or two evenings every two years, the Orgelpark hosts the Amsterdam Marimba Weekend, a series of concerts and workshops showcasing new music for marimba (and organ). The marimba has only been a common instrument on the concert stage for a little over a century. Consequently, many arrangements of older music are performed. Therefore, the AMW offers a platform for newly composed music for the marimba.
