Componistenportret Samuel Vriezen

In 2010 Samual Vriezen composed his work Crawling. In this work all musicians play the same part, but are crawling each in their own tempo through it, while repeating different fragments arising from the same simple lines. This way a rich melodic world emerges from a simple given. The piece can be played by different kinds of instrumentation, while different combinations can be chosen for different ensembles. Crawling will therefore be performed twice, by different instrumentation.
