Echonance #4 - Concert #7

L’Orchestre de Nouvelles Créations, Expérimentations et Improvisations (ONCEIM)

1- Patricia Bosshard
Reflets
for string orchestra

Reflets, by Swiss composer and violinist Patricia Bosshard, is a captivating piece for string ensemble that explores the rich world of harmonics. Written in 2018 for the ONCEIM, it weaves sustained tones and delicate overtones in a slow, meditative flow.

2- Christina Kubisch
Un jour dont on ne sait plus la couleur
for orchestra. World première.

Commissioned by Echonance Festival in co-production with ONCEIM.

Christina Kubisch said: I treat all sounds as equal. This piece seeks to blur the boundary between acoustic and electrified sources, creating a unified sound world that bridges traditional performance and contemporary experimentation. Since the late 1970s I have developed electromagnetic induction as a personal artistic tool. In 2003 this led to Electrical Walks, an ongoing series of urban sound works using special headphones that make the hidden electromagnetic fields of a city audible.
