Marimba Weekend: Open rehearsal

Open rehearsal of the Amsterdam Marimba Weekend, from 16:00 to 17:30.

On Thursday afternoon, March 12, the first artists of the Amsterdam Marimba Weekend are arriving, and Orgelpark will open its doors during the rehearsals of the Youth Percussion Pool. Under the guidance of prominent coaches, they will prepare for the spectacular program "Synergy of Wood - Premieres & Celebration," which will take place on Saturday evening at the Orgelpark. Specially for this Exclusive Edition of the AMW, artistic director Tatiana Koleva will expand the YPP platform into a Performance Pool and bring together an ensemble consisting of young talented percussionists, vocalists, and organists from Dutch conservatories.

During this open rehearsal, works by Steve Reich and Trevor Grahl will be performed, and visitors will gain a unique insight into the creative process and witness from close by how the ensemble develops and works on its contemporary repertoire.
