Program

The festival opens on Wednesday, May 29, with the concert evening Organ/Body in

collaboration with the Orgelpark; an undiscovered institution for many with many unique

organs. We present two premieres made especially for, and partly within, the Orgelpark. The fusion between organ sounds, software and electronic music is the focus of the evening, and in what ways the movement of air through the body of the organ pipes can be manipulated and experienced in new ways within the architecture of the Orgelpark.

Dutch sound artist and composer Casimir Geelhoed presents the premiere of Deviations (working title); a spatial sound performance for hyperorgan, software and live processing. Multilayered sonic landscapes will unfold throughout the space, gradually drifting away, disintegrating and deviating from their initial sources. The piece was commissioned by FIBER and the Orgelpark to be developed within a residency and composition assignment.
