Trimalis was formed by three musical nomads: drummer and percussionist Joost Lijbaart, multi instrumentalist Koen Boeijinga and cellist Galya Sky. Their tribal melodies, impovisations and hypnotic rhythms result in a sound that could best be described as 'world jazz'.
Bram Stadhouders uses his electric guitar to play three of the Orgelpark's organs, while Trimalis uses rare instruments like Meso American flutes, Indian harmonic, African and Asian percussion instruments, along with bagpipes, cello, saxophone and drums. A multi layered soundscape in which electric string, centuries old pipes and world music meet in realtime.
