ONLINE SYMPOSIUM CONNECTING AMSTERDAM, PITEÅ, STOCKHOLM, LÜBECK, CEDAR FALLS, BERLIN & IN FACT THE WHOLE WORLD
The Global Hyperorgan project networks existing pipe organs around the world for real-time, geographically-distant performance. This international symposium offered the public debut of the project, bringing together artists, engineers and scholars to interrogate the affordances, implications and sociality of this new telematic musicking platform. Performances linked organs in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden for real-time hyper-acoustic collaboration.
