Basklarinetfestijn & Orgel

The Basklarinet Festijn is a recurring event that gives the bass clarinet a stage with contemporary music. It can solo and accompany, it can color in sound like a chameleon with other instruments, vocals, electronics or organ. The artistic directors and founders are bass clarinetists Fie Schouten and Tobias Klein. This afternoon we have a special guest, the Argentinian organist Silvia Castillo. She is the widow of bass clarinet pioneer, Amsterdammer Harry Sparnaay. Two works written for them are on the program.
