Clavichord & Organ: Companions for Centuries
Given that the new Utopa Baroque Organ was inaugurated in March 2018, the International Orgelpark Symposium 2018 focused on the ‘instrumental relationship’ between the clavichord and baroque organs. Since organists developed and trained their musical skills on (pedal) clavichords for centuries, the symposium explored how building and playing clavichords might inspire developing new perspectives on dynamics in organ music.
